Join us for XPression Freelance Training in Toronto at the historic Mattamy Athletic Centre. Learn about the future of TV graphics in the building where Foster Hewitt started it all.

Join Ross Video and learn the basics of XPression - the broadcast industry's fastest growing real-time motion graphics platform. Over these two days, our Ross trainer will introduce you to the key features and functions of XPression.

XPression Training:
1. Project Manager: Making New Projects, Exporting Projects, Project Groups
2. Scene Manager: Adding New Scenes, Renaming/Number Scenes
3. Object Library: Base Objects, Primitives, Layers, Groups
4. Object Manager/Inspector: Object Order, Manipulating Primitives, Adding and Editing Text, Grouping & Parenting
5. Material Manager: Making & Applying Materials, Shaders Types, Video & Live Source
6. Animation: Continous Animations, Scene Director, Key Framing, Key Graph Editor
7. Sequencer: Layer Number, Frame Buffer, Template Links, Take IDs
8. DatalinqTM: Introduction to Datalinq

Please note that this class is not streamed live. Due to the very interactive nature of this training, you must be present to participate.

Who Can Attend?
Training is free to any freelance graphics operators not currently working for a customer on a full-time basis. Contact Greg Lennon (glennon@rossvideo.com) to confirm further availability.

Don't Forget!
All attendees should bring a personal computer that meets the following requirements:

• Windows 7 or 10 required
• Microsoft Office install with Microsoft Excel is recommended
• An nVidia GPU preferred
• 2-3Gb of RAM

Ahead of the training, you can begin to familiarize yourself with some of the XPression functionality by watching some of the hundreds of videos available on the Ross Video XPression U site: http://rossvideo.com/xpression-u/

In addition to the training, each student will receive a dongle and software for XPression Designer, the offline creation edition of XPression. This version is not capable of outputting live video, but it will render graphics to a pixel accurate virtual output on your VGA screen. This will allow you to work with XPression at home to sharpen your skills and eventually do pre-build work for live programs.
